Boston, MA – The Isosceles Group is pleased to welcome Austin Kennedy to the firm.
Austin is a sustainability professional with non-profit, education, and consulting experience in the US, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, and Southern Africa. He graduated in 2006 from Lafayette College with a double major in Engineering Studies and Economics & Business. During his undergraduate years, Austin completed coursework in development studies in Central America as well as energy policy in Scandinavia. Upon graduation, Austin worked with a small non-profit in rural Jamaica, with middle school and high school students in the Greater Boston Area and New York City, and with American university students through a study-abroad program in Southern Africa. Austin recently completed his MSc in Sustainable Development at HEC Paris, a program focused on the intersection between corporations and sustainability issues. Coursework topics included ISO 26000 implementation, environmental law, socially responsible investing, corporate sustainability strategy and communication, the geopolitics of resources and public policy, among others. While at HEC, Austin also completed an advanced certificate in Energy & Finance, worked as a student consultant for the European division of a major automobile group, interned with a major global sustainability members-based non-profit focused on the external assurance of sustainability reporting, and completed a professional thesis on this topic. He also has experience with benchmarking and analyzing sustainability programs and reports as well as presenting on a variety of sustainability topics in various formats. As a Corporate Sustainability Associate for The Isosceles Group, Austin will primarily assist in the development, implementation, and reporting of corporate sustainability plans for Isosceles clients. Boston, MA – The Isosceles Group is pleased to welcome Judy Yao to the firm as its Environmental Health and Safety Asia Associate.
Judy graduated in 2015 from Wellesley College with a major in Political Science focusing on International Relations with a specialty in security in the Pacific region. In addition to graduating cum laude, she was awarded membership into the National Political Science Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha, and the Barnett Miller grant for Political Science honors students. Judy was a research assistant to her advisor at Wellesley and has also spent time working as an intern for the Department of Treaty and Legal Affairs of the Foreign Ministry in Taiwan where she advocated for Taiwan’s participation in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese with reading and writing skills in both traditional and simplified characters. Upon graduating from college, Judy decided to pursue her love for food and food systems by joining Clover Food Lab as an assistant manager. Currently, Judy works full-time as a butchery apprentice at Savenor’s Market where she hopes to learn more about meats, gain more culinary skills, and obtain more insight into livestock farming systems in the United States. As a Environmental, Health and Safety Asia Associate, Judy will write regulatory update articles for both the Global Newsletter and Quarterly Report, update China’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols, and research EHS laws and regulations.
