​On January 31, 2020, the UK’s Parliament ratified the withdrawal agreement and the UK officially left the EU.

After this exit day, the 11-month implementation period began. During this period, which ends on December 31, 2020, the UK will continue to follow EU rules, and trading will remain unaltered. Also during this period, the UK and the EU will attempt to reach an agreement on trade. This includes items such as REACH regimes, etc. Fundamental differences have already emerged on both sides based on statements made by Johnson shortly after the January 31 exit. Negotiations continue to take place.

A Kuwaiti proposal has been submitted to establish an electronic waste (e-waste) sorting and recycling plant, located at a safe distance from residential areas.

​The proposal seeks to prevent the negative effects of said waste on the environment and human health, while also making use of the valuable minerals, such as iron, aluminum, gold, copper, silver, etc., contained therein. The public would be informed of the inherent dangers of e-waste and the methods of disposing of said waste.

Taiwan amended the Toxic Chemical Substances Operation Liability Insurance Measures and renamed it the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substance Operators Liability Insurance Measures.

The Measures require operators to obtain liability insurance before operation if the total amount during the manufacture, use, storage, and transportation of toxic chemicals of the first to third categories or hazardous chemical substances of concern reach a specified benchmark.
