China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment published the first batch of List of Toxic and Hazardous Water Pollutants on July 23rd, containing 10 types of water pollutants. Entities that emit the pollutants listed must obtain a pollutants emission permit and pay the appropriate emissions fees in order to legally operate. They are also required to monitor and assess all related sewage outlets, environmental impacts, hazards, and report data.
