The Government of Denmark issued an Executive Order on Restrictions on Import and Sale and Manufacturing for Exports in the European Union (EU) of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) containing certain hazardous substances. The Order covers imports and sales as well as manufacturing for export within the EU of EEE. Under the Order, it is prohibited to import or sell EEE, cables and spare parts if the equipment contains one or more of the substances listed in Annex 2, at concentrations higher than the concentrations specified in Annex 2, 2-4. The Order establishes obligations for manufacturers and their authorized representatives, along with requirements for conformity, declarations of conformity, supervision and control, and punishment. The Order entered into force on July 1, 2018.
