The Ministry of the Presidency and for Territorial Administrations of Spain issued Order PRA/905/2017, of September 21, which modifies Annexes I and II of Royal Decree 115/2017, of February 17, which regulates the marketing and handling of fluorinated gases and equipment based on the same, as well as the certification of the professionals that use them and by which the technical requirements are established for the installations that develop activities that emit fluorinated gases. This modification was made in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 115/2017, of February 17, which authorizes certain ministers to dictate the necessary provisions to update and modify the annexes of this Royal Decree, taking into account the regulatory developments on fluorinated greenhouse gases.
The modifications update Annex I to include activities for certificate accreditation in competence for the manipulation of fixed electrical switches that contain fluorinated GHGs. The modifications also update Annex II by replacing language regarding a training program course on handling of fixed electrical switches that contain fluorinated GHGs. The Order was published in the Official State Gazette on September 27, 2017 and entered into force, the following day, on September 28, 2017.
